More about my work:

Parenting, obviously, became one of my passions and not only it’s my life but also, my main inspiration for stories. I have written for several publications including Ser Padres, a Hispanic publication of Meredith corporation, Padres e Hijos MagazineFirst Coast Magazine, and Scary Mommy.

I earned a Master of Arts in Communication degree from Georgia State University, in 2011. My graduate thesis, Team Edward or Team Jacob? The portrayal of Two Versions of the “Ideal” Male Romantic Partner in the Twilight Film Series, was published by LAP Publishing. I wrote this thesis because I am also a chick-flick-philiac.

In 2003 I co-founded and served as editor-in-chief of Muévelo Magazine, a national magazine with a positive lifestyle/entertainment focus. After two years in the Atlanta market, we shifted the magazine into a female-oriented concept with a positive lifestyle/entertainment focus. I transformed Muévelo from a local magazine into a national publication, with distribution in top Hispanic Direct Marketing Association (DMA) markets, including New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Phoenix, San Antonio and Atlanta. The magazine was published until 2006.

You have to know that I have a very particular set of skills. But don’t worry they are not as scary as Liam Neeson’s in the movie Taken. I acquired most of those great skills via motherhood. Organization, attention to detail, work under pressure, budget management, leadership, work as a team member, resourcefulness, time management, and most importantly responsibility. And last but not least, I am a good storyteller.

So welcome to my home, my blog a place with open doors for everyone who want to read what I want to say. Enjoy!
